Information for New Graduate Students

The University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences Academic Programs office is pleased to welcome you to our graduate academic programs. You may find the New Graduate Student To Do List helpful in your first few weeks.

OSC's new graduate student orientation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 16, and Wednesday, Aug. 17. We hope you will all join us for these events, but we understand that new students in the distance learning program may not be available. However, all students with research assistantships or teaching assistantships must attend the mandatory New Graduate Student Hiring Workshop on Aug. 15.

We want to assist you in making the transition to graduate school as smoothly as possible, and the single most important factor in this process is communication. Please keep the Academic Programs office informed of your current address, phone number and e-mail address at all times. Please feel free to contact us at any time, and come to see us in Meinel 403 as soon as you arrive in Tucson.
