The University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences is pleased to welcome you to our graduate academic programs.  We have prepared information linked below that we hope will answer many of your questions and help prepare you for the 2010-2011 Academic Year.

We will be available throughout the summer, so please feel free to contact us any time.

The 2010 New Graduate Student Orientation is not in place just yet, but you may find last year's information helpful.   We will be posting 2010 New Graduate Student Orientation Information in June, 2010.

Please mark your calendars for the following events:

·            Mandatory International New Student Orientation, August
·            Optical Sciences New Graduate Student Orientation, August
·
            New Student Graduate College Orientation, August
·
            New Graduate Student Kitt Peak Picnic, August

All new graduate students awarded an RA or TA Position must attend the New Graduate Student Orientation.   Notify Academic Programs if you are not able to attend.

The registration payment deadline for all students is the first day of classes.  Unless you wish to do so, there is no need to register for fall classes until after you arrive here for New Graduate Student Orientation.

We want to assist you as much as possible in making the transition to graduate school at the University of Arizona.  The single most important factor in this process is communication.  Please keep the Academic Programs Office informed of your current address, phone number and email address at all times.  This information will allow us to contact you in a timely manner with any questions or problems regarding your admission or funding.  Please also feel free to contact us at any time. 

Please come to see us in the Academic Programs Office, Room 403, as soon as you arrive in Tucson.  Please also stop by if you visit over the summer months.  We have a packet of information about the community that will be helpful to you in locating and establishing your new residence in Tucson.
