Partnership Impact

Membership dues are used to enhance the entire college and particularly the needs of our students. Contributions from Industrial Affiliate member companies make a significant difference in the quality of the educational opportunities, the financial assistance that we are able to offer, and in how resources are allocated.

Recruiting

Each spring we bring the most promising student applicants to visit us for an informative recruitment weekend. This has been a very successful venture and is always a great pleasure for us.

Academic Programs

We purchase the latest and most relevant print and on-line professional journals for our library, provide travel funds for students to attend scientific meetings, and organize in-house student employment interviews for member companies.

Student Assistantships

Membership dues also contribute toward funding for twenty-four graduate student teaching assistants, twelve during the spring semester and another twelve during the fall semester.

Teaching Laboratories

Membership dues enable us to purchase necessary equipment for our teaching laboratories.

Faculty Members

New faculty members strengthen our educational and research expertise in key disciplines. This initiative requires funding for research start-up funds, funding for endowed distinguished professor chairs, and financial support for promising new faculty members.

Technology Transfer Activities

We are focused on improving communications with industry in the areas of research findings, patent and licensing initiatives, and collaborative research opportunities and resources are used to support technology transfer activities.
