Dear Alumni and Friends,
We invite you to join us
in support of the College of Optical Sciences 2008 October Support
Campaign. We are grateful to each of you for your past
contributions and value your continued support.
Our work is never done
and each day we work to accomplish goals that bring pride to the
college and necessary resources to assist our students and faculty.
More than ever, your help plays a critical role in our success and
without your generous contributions it would be difficult to
accomplish many of our goals. I am happy to share with you the
focus of our development efforts and look forward to receiving gifts
or ideas that can help us achieve significant results in these
areas:

increase the number
of endowed scholarships for both graduates and undergraduates
-
establish a formal
endowed chair or professorship
-
recognize
individuals, faculty, or corporations by increasing naming
opportunities
-
increase membership
in the Industrial Affiliates program.
As the optics industry
grows, so do our challenges as the world's leader in Optical
Sciences education. Often we must compete vigorously to
recruit the best students -- and winning the best research awards
isn't easy either. Join us in our efforts to maintain and
improve our college and please visit whenever you can to share in
our collective successes. You can be certain that your
donation helps make us more competitive and strengthens our program.
