Coming Up: June 12 through June 16 -- Optical Sciences Summer Camp 2006 Please join us in welcoming a dozen high school students to one of our most exciting summer events: Optical Sciences Camp. The camp is held here at OSC, largely in room 701, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Camp activities are designed to give students a basic knowledge of modern optics and photonics and to allow them to interact via optics experiments and projects. This year's camp instructors are Brian Anderson, Charles Falco, Hong Hua, Alan Kost, Franko Kueppers, Matthew Kupinski, Jim Schwiegerling, Valery Temyanko, and Kurt Thome.
Important Message to Next Year's Graduate Teaching/Research Assistants and Associates From Stella Hostetler, OSC Payroll Office. If you plan to be a graduate teaching/research assistant or associate for the upcoming academic year, please download the new and updated Notice of Appointment form from the OSC Payroll Office website at http://www.optics.arizona.edu/payroll/Grad.htm The Graduate College has changed a few things, so please be sure to read your Notice of Appointment prior to signing it. You must also submit the Graduate Appointment Authorization Form with your NOA, it is also located at the link above. Your Employee ID # must be listed on the forms. This number can be found on your paychecks. The Registration Payroll Deduction Plan (PDP) is now a separate form. Please visit http://grad.arizona.edu/nidassist/ to view additional information on this benefit and to enroll online. All forms should be submitted to the Payroll Office (West Wing Room 421) by June 29th, 2006. BTW: If you will be leaving OSC in the near future, please be sure to complete a Clearance Form prior to your last day.
