Qualifications: You must be a student currently pursuing a course of studies in a related discipline. Additional qualifications include: - Hands-on experience in optical and high-frequency measurements - Prior experience in high-frequency analysis and design, including simulation tool such as HFSS - Familiarity with fiber-to-waveguide coupling, optical spectrum analyzers, tunable lasers, vector network analyzer, and general test equipment - Good oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities: In this position, you will be responsible for high-frequency and optical characterization of waveguide based photonic devices as well as RF design and simulation.

Qualifications: You should possess at least a Bachelor of Engineering degree or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and/or Physics and have a good understanding of the basic physics of optics and electronics. Additional qualifications include: - Strong written, presentation, and communication skills - Demonstrated capability of working towards the goal with attention to details under minimum supervision. Responsibilities: In this position, you will be working with a research team to develop optical technologies for probing high speed electrical signals running between Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) chips, which involves high speed characterization of a variety of optical components as well as the optical probe, and in-depth investigation of the impacts to the entire system. Others Job Description: Responsibilities may be quite diverse of an exempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
Optical Engineers. Visteon Corporation. Job Description: Support implementation of adv optical apps. Works together with optics design and CAE specialists to implement prototypes, test and correlation data. Work with manufacturing engineering and tool shops to verify optical performance criteria for new types of components. Work with PD applications group to define specific design criteria for new optical components. Years Experience Desired: • 5 years optical engineering, preferably illumination applications • 3 years in optical component production • 3 years experience in optical simulation software . Degree Strongly Preferred: BS Physics, Optics, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering MS desired. Desired Competencies/Experience: • Working knowledge of micro-optical component design and production • Experience in injection molding tooling and processing • Experience with glass and plastic asphere, anamorphic, fresnel, catadioptric and similar lenses as well as light guides • Experience with LED and LASER sources • Experience in optical component metrology • Understanding of optical coatings.
