Senior Radar Systems Architect. Raytheon - Radar & RF Technology. Job Description: Looking for a system engineer experienced in radar systems to generate software requirements definition and perform radar software analysis, integration, and test. Candidate must be able to travel domestically for short periods of time. Candidate must have an existing secret clearance. Candidate must be able to multi-task among numerous projects, based on the same radar. This is not a software engineering job. Required Skills: Strong math/algorithm background. Sentinel and/or derivative systems with radar background in multi-function radar systems. Experience in software requirements definition. Desired Skills: Good team player. Communications & Data Link Architect. Raytheon - Radar & RF Technology. Job Description: Seasoned FPGA designer with extensive wireless communications and data link experience. Software defined/programmable radio development using FPGAs is a plus. Expert in communications systems, spread spectrum systems, LPI systems, FEC code correction methods and detection, interleaving, and both direct sequence and frequency hopped systems is preferred. Required Skills: Able to design, build, and productize a complete digital/software defined wireless, two-way data link radio. Experienced in VHDL and/or Verilog, and either Altera or Xilinx FPGAs. SAR Radar Expert. Raytheon - Radar & RF Technology. Job Description: Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) responsibilities include systems engineering, performance analysis, trade studies, and leading technical and program teams. Applications include missiles, guided projectiles, and Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs). Technical duties include modeling/simulation, evaluating overall systems performance, developing requirements, developing algorithms, creating and maintaining error budgets, performing rapid as well as detailed (longer term) trade studies The successful applicant is also expected to represent Raytheon Missile Systems in professional symposium settings. Activities include verbal and written communications with customers, team members, and fellow industry professionals as well as participating in proposal efforts for study contracts and new business. Should be capable of pursuing and solving technical and programmatic issues with autonomy, minimal oversight, and vigor. Occasional travel. Required Skills: Computer literacy is a must. Experience in Synthetic Aperture Radar systems engineering, systems analysis, and/or radar systems is required. Working knowledge of higher order language and/or applications such as Matlab, Mathcad, Mathematica, Fortran, C, C++, or Ada is needed.
