Accounting personnel also meet with faculty and staff to communicate new requirements and ensure that university policies are being followed. The office also monitors access to OSC offices and labs, oversees the mailroom and handles photocopy accounts.

Personnel include Kina Barton, a business-finance administrator; Melissa Fasulo, a business-finance administrator; and Ruth Smith, the business-finance manager. Principal investigators should review accounting policies and current reports with their accounting representative.

The University of Arizona also maintains several websites that contain important information about policies on expenditures and research:

• The Financial Services Office at the University of Arizona guides principal investigators through some of the accounting and reporting requirements.
• The Sponsored Projects Office under the Vice President for Research offers the Handbook for Principal Investigators, which provides an overview of important university policies.
