We achieve this goal by providing state of the art surface and wavefront interferometers, service, support and consulting on interferometer usage and applications.

The Application Engineer provides installation, training, phone support for customers and acts as a liaison for the company while on site for the company. Internal testing of software and instruments will also be performed in this role
Essential Functions
  1. Trains and advises customers on the proper uses of the company’s instruments and software
  2. Installs instruments after purchase
  3. Trouble shoots problems in operation of the instruments, or service issues as might arise
  4. Provide technical and application support to customers via phone, email or online
  5. Test software before release to find and catalog bugs and inconsistencies
  6. Test optics, optical assemblies, engineering prototypes, and finished products before shipping to confirm they meet specification
  7. Develop methods and set-ups to measure complex, customer supplied samples
  8. Develop measurement scripts and custom reports for customers as required
  9. Attends trade shows to assist with the set-up, demonstration of and tear down the equipment
  10. Updates √ĄPRE CRM system as new customer requirements and applications are learned

Supervisory Responsibility
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
This position requires frequent travel, more than 35% Most travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel is international.
Required Education and Experience
BS or higher in Optics, Physics or related engineering field. Interferometer use and experience considered a plus.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
US Citizen, “Green Card or permanent residency required
