I am seeking a Director of Operations with engineering or manufacturing experience in the microwave tube industry.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

SUMMARY:

Through support Managers, plans, organizes and directs the activities of the operations organization. Responsible for the performance of the following department functions: Manufacturing, Purchasing, Production/Material Control, Machine Shop, Electronic Maintenance, and Plant Maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Meets or exceeds fiscal year sales plan.
Recommends and monitors productivity improvement goals.
Insures monthly shipping goals are met (facility and customer)
Reviews and updates business processes within manufacturing and interfaces with other functional areas.
Develops and maintains the Master Schedule.
Evaluates material shortages to ensure performance to the Master Schedule.
Develops and recommends facility manufacturing policies.
Defines and recommends objectives/goals in manufacturing functional areas.
Reviews, monitors and approves cost control reports, estimates manpower and facility requirements.
Reviews and approves manufacturing operations for fiscal year budgets.
Reviews and approves major manufacturing projects involving functional changes.
Develops plans for new manufacturing technology to increase divisional profitability.
Responsible for justifying, initiating, tracking and completing all Capital Projects.

TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

BS Engineering/Physics with MS or MBA preferred.
10 - 15 years engineering or manufacturing experience in microwave tube industry.
Experience with RF, Radar, Vacuum, Magnetrons, TWT, Thyratrons
Proven management, supervisory experience with ability to manage, motivate and retain key personnel.
Demonstrated computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance
