DLP Optical Design Engineering Intern

In this exciting position, you’ll enable new categories of DLP® products and have direct impact on revenue and growth. You’ll work on high-visibility projects within TI’s dynamic DLP® business. 

Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Support the DLP® projection market with reference and prototype proof of concept designs. 
  • Provide direct customer interface on both new and existing designs. 
  • Create and/or evaluate new design concepts and provide performance, tolerance, efficiency, and design for manufacturing analysis and feedback. 
  • Prototype proof of concept designs to include the Pico consumer projection market, automotive display and interactivity. 

The ideal candidate will be a actively working on a degree in Optics Engineering and interest in lens design. Zemax, Fred and/or Code 5 optical design tool experience is desired. Interest in designing and modeling diffractive optic systems. Other optical and mechanical CAD software experience is a plus. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field 
  • Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
