Overview: Responsible for supporting the laser development for 3D flash Lidar systems. Core Responsibilities: 

  • Prototype laser subsystems for 3D flash Lidar applications 
  • Design and build laser test equipment 
  • Characterize laser performance over environments 
  • Support transition to manufacturing 
  • Develop laser test procedures and guidelines 
  • Support laser safety program

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical or Electro-optical Engineering 
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant electro-optical experience 
  • Experience with DPSS lasers Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Master's degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical or Electro-optical Engineering 
  • Experience with optical modeling codes (ZEMAX, ASAP, LASCAD) 
  • Knowledge of LabView, C++ or Solid Works
