Job Description Optical Engineer to play a role in development of IOL devices by generating and releasing product optical specification and tolerances, by analyzing manufacturability of critical optical parameters and by conducting complex optical modeling and analysis to support IOL R&D projects:
- Generate and release product optical specifications.
- Provide guidance to IOL optical test method development activities.
- Conduct tolerance analysis.
- Support tech transfer.
- Support product registration activities.
- Core team and/or sub team representation of Optics COE in IOL R&D projects.

Minimum requirements BS/MS in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline with focus on optics or optical engineering. Fluency in English essential. Fluency in other languages a plus.
• BS with minimum 5+ years’ experience or MS with 3+ years’ experience.
• Proficiency with ray tracing software such as Zemax.
• Experience in optical specification generation and tolerancing.
• Experience in medical device development (IOLs and contact lenses are a plus).
• Knowledge of optics, optical modeling, optical characterization.
