Job summary:
A fall Internship position is available at PHOTOMETRICS facility in Tucson, Arizona. The intern will receive suitable training to perform functional testing of a range of the company’s state-of the-art Scientific CMOS Cameras. This position requires basic programming knowledge in C/C++ and Python and offers the successful, enthusiastic candidate an opportunity to gain experience with scientific camera metrics and terminology, validation testing, and software stacks. Depending on skills match and progress, an opportunity may exist for the intern to participate in aspects of design and development for image processing projects.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Camera firmware testing and validation
  • Debug and develop automated test tools
  • Leverage and further establish automated test procedures
 
Required skills and experience:
  • Candidate must be enrolled on a BS or MS degree program in an engineering field.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical concepts verbally and in writing.
  • Intermediate programming knowledge on Python and C/C++
