Global leader in industrial instrumentation technology has an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation Scientist for their R&D center in Auburn Hills, MI!
The successful candidate will:
- Provide innovative solutions in developing new products and new technologies, especially products and technologies related to x-ray optics and x-ray instruments.
- Manage development projects. Working with other departments, especially Coating department and Engineering Department, develop new products.
- Support Sales and Marketing department by providing technology supports to sales activities and marketing activities.
- Provide technical support to production activities.
Qualifications
- Good understanding of the theory of x-ray diffraction and x-ray fluorescence.
- Good understanding of opto-mechanical design related to the design of x-ray optics and instruments.
- Good knowledge in traditional optical technologies.
- Strong modeling capability, both establishing physical models and mathematical modeling.
- Knowledge and experience in device/instrument development, especially in the development of x-ray optics. Should be able to demonstrate the past successes in the development of devices/instruments, especially x-ray optics.
- Strong hands-on capability and experience.
- Ph.D. in physics, or applied physics, or the fields with emphasis in physical science.
- Principle driven, attention to details, result oriented, strong work ethic, adequate English for fluent communication.
