For the first time, TeachSpin is offering undergraduate internships for both the upcoming winter term and the summer of 2015. Physics majors who have completed at least two years of their program at a US institution are invited to apply.

Interns will be mentored by TeachSpin senior physicists (all of whom have taught the advanced lab) as they learn to use and test advanced physics lab equipment - important skills for future experimentalists.

TeachSpin will work with the academic advisor to meet any requirements for credit-hours available for this program, and will provide a certificate of completion. For summer interns, there will also be a small honorarium.

Program Description:
TeachSpin’s internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate physics majors to work with
TeachSpin senior physicists and learn to use and test advanced physics lab equipment.
We offer two internship opportunities: one during winter break (3 weeks) and the other
during the summer (7-8 weeks). TeachSpin will work with your academic advisor to meet any
requirements for credit-hours available for this program, and will provide a certificate of
completion. For summer interns, there will also be a $200 honorarium.
Program Goals:
 Guide students in performing classic and modern advanced lab experiments, often with
apparatus that produces research grade data.
 Help students become proficient with advanced laboratory measurement instruments
such as multimeter, oscilloscope, lock-in, spectrum analyzer, and function generator.
 Enable students to use new skills to test circuits and apparatus for proper function.
Eligibility:
 Physics majors who have completed at least two years of their program, and are
