RIT’s College of Science is seeking candidates for a Lecturer of Physics position in their School of Physics & Astronomy starting in August 2017. The primary responsibility of the position is teaching introductory physics in an activity-based, workshop format. The minimum qualifications are a PhD in physics or a closely related discipline, recent experience teaching introductory physics, potential to succeed in an active-learning workshop-style classroom, and strong communication skills. Candidates who are also qualified for and have a strong interest in teaching undergraduate astronomy courses at a variety of levels are particularly desirable.
