Job Description: 
Airy Optics is looking for a full-time Optical Engineer to work on the Polaris-M software product. Since 2016, Airy Optics Inc. has been upgrading Polaris-M from a research code to a commercially available product. The program is written in Mathematica and contains many advanced algorithms for Polarization calculations. More capabilities, and user interface tools need to be developed and maintained. In addition to developing the Polaris-M ray tracing software package, Airy Optics uses Polaris-M to tackle difficult engineering service questions. Applicants will need to be able to identify the problems presented by customers and formulate
solutions into a Statement of Work as well as plan and execute polarization analysis on customer provided optical systems.
What we are looking for:
  • Experience with optical design software
  • Experience with Mathematica preferred, training provided
  • Skills in linear algebra--special functions--Fourier Analysis--optimization
  • Optical Design Skills
  • Ability to work independently
