Job Description:

  • Reports to: Optics Sales Manager Department: Sales and Marketing

Job Summary: The Optics Sales Engineer will be the key point of contact for clients, answering inquiries, and providing technical advice as needed. Lead activities that strengthen and cultivate customer relationships. MOXTEK is an advanced research company focused on the design and manufacturing of high performance components.

Essential Functions:

  1. Coordinate sales activities to promote company products
  2. Manage key accounts and secure/grow core business
  3. Actively develop and manage customer relationships
  4. Develop sales plan and distribution channels to meet quarterly / annual quota
  5. Engage in sales promotions that support company sales efforts
  6. Provide accurate sales forecasts
  7. Interact with internal engineering and production teams to meet targets
  8. Support product and marketing teams to launch new products
  9. Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  1. BS in Optics / Optical Engineering or related technical discipline
  2. At least 3 years of technical sales and/or account management is required
  3. Proven success in developing customer relationships
  4. Experience with contract negotiation and advanced degree is preferred
