Job Description: 

Responsibilities

  • Join an engineering team to identify the scope, constraints and risks for design, fabrication, testing and mass production of advanced optical components for high resolution optical processing system.
  • Perform the set-up, calibration, testing, alignment and troubleshooting of optical and mechanical assemblies and systems. 
  • Work with a cross-functional team of mechanical, optical, electrical, and software engineers to test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.
  • Write technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. 
  • Develop and maintain error budgets, and define subsystem and system level requirements for current and future products. 

 Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering and/or related fields with 4 - 7 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid theoretical understanding of image formation and ray tracing. 
  • Programming/scripting experience. 
  • Hands on experience with Opto-mechanical system assemblies.
