Job Summary

This company is seeking an Optical Test Engineer to participate in the development and production of state of the art body-worn and portable vision and digital night vision systems used in applications including commercial virtual reality, training and simulation, man-portable soldier systems, and head-mounted soldier and aviation display and digital night vision systems. We are looking for a team-oriented, self-driven individual with a keen technical mind and creative aptitude.  Candidate must have a detailed understanding of testing concepts and methodologies for testing systems with optical components.  The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly technical R&D environment.  The candidate is expected to support new product developments, enhance our current test capabilities, and develop novel assembly & test strategies for streamlined builds of new products.

Qualification:

• BS in Optics
• 2 y develop test tooling for complex imaging systems, preference (Open to New Graduates)
• Design, specify, build and validate test systems for the test of optical systems
• Display, Camera Testing, Night vision experience is preferred
• US citizen

Responsibilities:

• Define & manage optical systems requirements
• Create Verification, Test matrix
• Develop camera based alignment & test tooling for displays, optical & sensor systems
• Develop & write test plans for new products
• Conduct First Article testing for new products
