DESCRIPTION
This position is for an Optical Test Engineer. This position will have responsibility for acquisition and data processing of optical metrology data to support in-process optical manufacturing and final product sell-off for high precision optics. The types of optical metrology include interferometry, mechanical and optical profiling, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and laser trackers.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Four year degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering,or related required. Experience with interferometry required.
• Experience with Metropro and/or 4Sight preferred.
• Appropriate PPE to be worn when working in the production environment.
• Must be able to move 40 pounds.
• Candidate will be required to work in both office and lab environments and may be exposed to certain solvents and chemicals.
• Familiarity with optical manufacturing production a plus
CLOSING
• Education: Four year degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related required.
• Yrs. of Experience: 3-5 years required, 5+ years preferred, Experience handling optics 2 + years preferred
• Industry Experience: Aerospace, Optics manufacturing or related discipline
• Attention to detail; ability to work with high value parts. Good organizational skills. Willingness and ability to learn new skills. Effective communication skills
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and must either hold a current
US DoD clearance or must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance.
