Responsibilities
Interpret requirements documents to generate designs in a modern CAD system, produce production drawings, procure, integrate and test the final mechanical systems. Responsible for analysis and performance assessment of opto-mechanical designs to include error estimation and to ensure design adequacy. Additional duties will include hands on development support of lithographic imaging system.
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Optics, or the related Engineering Fields.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in using a parametric solid modeling CAD system such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or similar; experience in Finite Element Analysis of structures; proficiency in Microsoft office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Familiarity of working in a Linux OS environment. Experience with designing and implementing closed loop control systems.
