Job Description:

The RF Fields Group at NIST is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher with optical physics experience to work on photonics for Rydberg atomic spectroscopy.  This project uses spectroscopy of Rydberg atoms to detect RF fields – from absolute, SI-traceable measurements to communications signal reception. The chosen candidate will work with a small group to develop the optical system for an array of Rydberg atom-based RF sensors. This lab combines experience in optical and atomic physics with RF equipment and electromagnetic theory.
