  • This position is bridge the gap between IOL engineering design and clinical performance, applying clinical vision perspective to advanced products concepts and projects. Participate in project teams to complete assigned tasks and meet milestones. 
  • Provide analyses in the assessment of visual performance through clinical data. 
  • Establish the visual performance model linking optical simulation to clinical observations. 
  • Interact with team and KOLs to define product risk/benefit and assess tradeoffs based on scientific evidence. 
  • Lead exploratory vision science research through internal and external efforts. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise for ophthalmic physiology-related topics (e.g. accommodation, binocular vision etc.). 
  • Propose and support ideation efforts to establish new product opportunities.

Minimum requirements

  • PhD or OD in Vision Science or Opththalmic Optics 
  • Fluency in English essential. 
  • 7+ years directly related experience, preferably in ophthalmic industry.
