Position: Product Support Engineer
Department: Product Support
Reports To: Product Support Manager
Classification: Exempt

Brief Summary:
Responsible for technical customer support as well as applications engineering, sales, marketing, and R&D projects. Occasional trade show support and customer visit support.

Essential Functions & Requirements:
• Provide technical product support to customers via phone and email
• Provide customer support for product applications through design analysis and/or hardware tests
• Support the customer in obtaining the full complement of products needed to meet their applications
• Handles incoming customer calls for custom optics with the use of the EO Quote tool
• Participate in projects to support Marketing & Sales
• Timeliness and regular attendance are required
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Professional demeanor and excellent phone etiquette
• Utilizes active listening and critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems
• Ability to draft and edit technical documents such as product specifications and application notes
• Able to work independently and manage multiple project simultaneously
• Requires minimal supervision and direction
