Job Description: 
Join Airy Optics in developing the Polaris-M 2.0 polarization ray tracing engine. The Development Internship will teach applicants how to plan, write and maintain software. Interns are needed to maintain and improve the usability and quality of the software. This involves using Polaris-M 2.0 for real-life optical applications, create examples of specific features, testing the software for quality assurance and more.
 
What we are looking for:
  • Experience with optical design software
  • Experience with Mathematica a plus, training will be provided (or another programming language)
  • Optical Design skills (preferably taken OPTI 340 or equivalent)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with Linear Algebra
  • Experience with Polarization
  • Strong organizational skills

Hours per week:

10-20 hours
