Job Description
Sunex Inc has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Engineer with background in imaging optics to join our sales team. You will be engaged with dedicated and talented optical engineers/scientists to enable digital imaging applications. The position offers strong personal, professional and compensation growth. You will be challenged working with cross functional teams around the world comprised of engineering, purchasing, quality, project management and manufacturing.
Responsibilities include:
 Perform sales functions including visiting customers on site, providing quotations and closing sales.
 Identify emerging applications/markets for our imaging products
 Generate potential leads from various channels, including participation in trade-shows
 Provide technical and general support to customers
 Recommend and provide product information to customers
 Be a liaison between customers and our manufacturing operations in China.
 Design (working with Zemax) and/or Project Management responsibilities may be introduced depending on the individual candidate’s skill set / interests.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:
 BS or MS degree in a related field (Optics, EE or Physics) with at least 1-3 years of experience in an optical field
 Solid background in imaging optics and general knowledge of digital imaging systems, cameras, or sensors.
 Team player in an entrepreneurial environment
 Sales experience preferred
 Knowledge of Zemax or other optical design software a plus
