OSC Work-From-Home Guidelines

  • Take your PC or laptop home such that you can fully preform you work assignments
  • Make sure your phones forward to your remote location
    • Forward all office calls to remote location
    • Push CFwdALL button on phone display
    • Enter your remote number  10 digit number. DO NOT PUT THE NUMBER 1 in front or else the call forward will not work
    • Phone will beep letting you know the new forwarded number is active
    • You may have a note on the bottom of your display noting your forwarded number
  • Develop Email Signature With All Professional Contact Information (Email/Phone)
    • Include Remote Status/Days in Email Signature 
    • Ensure signature is on both new emails and replies
    • “Out of Office” responses are required for days off
  • Use OSC’s VPN Client when connected to a WiFi
  • All meetings that are normally in person should be replaced with a zoom meeting (please note Google Chromium (not chrome) does not support Zoom)
  • Zoom is the preferred meeting scheduling software 
  • Utilize the staff PTO calendar so there is a global assessment of availability
    • Keep any eye out for a shared calendar if you don’t already have one
  • All required UA documentation should be in PDF format, fillable
    • The UA license has all the required functionality  
    • All signatures will be collected digitally using Adobe PDF
    • Any supporting documentation can be accounted for by using a high quality phone picture, or commercially available mobile scanning software like adobe scan
    • Provide all supporting documents in the notes section of DV’s to be expedient. Business office review is no longer advised for DVs. Just be mindful of what is being included
  • Campus mail service is suspended
  • No major capital purchases are allowed during this period of time. Lab consumables are allowed to the extent they are supporting critical sustainment efforts approved by the Dean’s office and RII only
