ESU-Tucson Home Page

Welcome!

To the Tucson Branch of the

English-Speaking Union,

representing southern Arizona.

This web site has been created for three reasons:

bullet

To provide members and friends of the Branch timely information on forthcoming events, Committee activities, and other newsworthy items.

bullet

To advertise our existence broadly and thereby help attract new members. Importantly, to describe our activities to high-school students and their teachers.

bullet

To overcome, to a large extent, the drudgery and cost involved in monthly mailings of Luncheon Information and Reservation form, our Newsletter published three times a year, and Dues forms. The printing and mailing time and cost are increasing with increases in membership and postage.

There are usually more than 20 pages in the site, including this Home Page and sometimes extracts from  the latest Newsletter. They can all be accessed in two different ways by clicking on:

We hope you will find the site easy to explore and of value to use.

We wish to acknowledge, with thanks, Professor James C. Wyant, Director of the Optical Sciences Center at the University of Arizona, for providing us with free web-site hosting.  Also thanks is due Joel Baese, Computing Manager at the OSC, for his kind assistance.

Important, please check the News Page for recent additions to this site and forthcoming events.

Any comments, suggestions or questions you may have will be particularly welcome at this stage. Please contact the Webmaster by e-mail.
