and many items that need updating. The latter have not been removed because
they provide a snapshot of the Tucson Branch during the early 2000s that may

 | Kerry Demers, a Salpointe Catholic High School teacher, has been
selected a Disney's American Teacher Awards honoree for 2002. She attributes some
of her success to her response to a question about collaboration with
others. The "others" in her case was the Tucson Branch of the ESU,
in particular those who organize the Shakespeare Competition.

| Congratulations to Lauren Cray from Desert Christian High School,
the winner of this year's Tucson Branch Shakespeare Competition. Good luck
to her at the ESU National finals at the Lincoln Center April 26-28!
Her teachers are Cathy Simon and Jennifer Monroe. Lauren will recite
her monologue at a Branch luncheon after the National finals on May 4. Please
