| How Optical Sciences Anti-SPAM software
works: First - The Quarantine folder is the folder where suspect messages are put when they are received. Any messages in this folder are considered spam. You may delete them manually or let the system handle it for you. If a message makes it to this folder and is not spam, move it to the Whitelist folder (put a copy in your Inbox) and future messages from this sender will go directly to your Inbox. FYI - your contacts in Outlook that have an e-mail address set will be considered whitelisted senders. Remember to check the Quarantine folder periodically for messages. Also, if you are expecting a message and you do not receive it when expected, this is a good place to start checking just in case it is flagged as possible SPAM. Second - The Blacklist folder is for any message(s) that makes it to your Inbox but you consider spam. Move the message from the Inbox to the Blacklist folder and future messages from this sender will be deleted. Third - The Whitelist folder is the folder for messages that should be allowed to come to your Inbox but have been marked as spam and put in the Quarantine folder. Just remember: If a message makes it to the Inbox and it is good, no action is required. If a message makes it to your Inbox and it is SPAM, move it to the Blacklist folder. If a message makes it to the Quarantine folder and it is SPAM, no action is required. If a message makes it to the Quarantine folder and it is good, move it to the Whitelist. (Make sure you place a copy in your Inbox) Always remember, Contacts with one or more e-mail addresses are considered whitelisted senders. Once these SPAM folders are created DO NOT DELETE OR MOVE them as this will affect the systems ability to process spam correctly for you.
