Moiré Patterns

Moiré patterns are extremely useful to help understand basic interferometry and interferometric test results.  Chapter 16 in the second edition of the book Optical Shop Testing describes the relationship between moiré patterns and interferometry.  The pdf files given below can be downloaded and printed to illustrate the examples in Chapter 16.
