One Dimensional Grating
Description:
Creates a one dimensional grating pattern.
Getting Started
:
Right click on the object in which a one dimensional grating is desired. The object can be a target, source, detector, or any object using the 2D viewer. Click edit to bring up the properties editor. Choose "Replace A Piece" from Menu Items and click go. When the "Replace A Piece" wizard comes up, choose "One Dimensional Grating" and click next. You will then see the following panel.
Choosing a Grating
:
- Rectangular: Rectangular grating specified by slit width, period, center shift and angle.
- Fourier Series - Direct Input: Grating is created by a Fourier transform using sine and cosine functions for the basis functions. Up to 10 coefficients for cosine and 10 for sine can be input.
- Fourier Series - Catalog: Grating is created by a fourier transform using coefficients that have already been figured out for you.
- Fourier Series - Trapezoidal: Trapezoidal grating specified by base width, period, angle, and number of coefficients.
