    Festivities at Photonics West

    On Tuesday, the college will host a special Alumni and Industrial Affiliates Reception in honor of the SPIE Photonics West conference, and all alumni, affiliates and students are encouraged to attend. The event will be held at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square, in the Morgan Meeting Room from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

    Flandrau Demos Digital Dome for Faculty, Staff

    UA Science: Flaudrau has been loaned a state-of-the-art "full dome digital" video system for use in its planetarium. Not limited to star charts, this system can project almost any kind of data for almost any subject.

    They'll hold two demonstrations for faculty and staff: 4-4:30 pm. on Feb. 12 and 4-5 p.m. on Feb. 14. If it's a big hit, we can work to make it a permanent part of southern Arizona's "Science City."
