The Center for Integrated Access Networks (CIAN) is expecting funding to host eight to 10 teachers of Native American students for eight weeks this summer, and are seeking volunteer faculty and graduate student mentors to host the teachers in their labs. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a diverse population and have an impact on the students these teachers educate.

CIAN Seeks Mentors for Summer ProgramOver the summer the teachers will experience a research lab environment, an industry component with local industry members, as well as attend the College of Education's Teachers in the Industry Program course. At the end of the summer, the teachers will present a poster about their project and create a unique lesson plan inspired by the lab for their classrooms. CIAN will fund the teachers with a $6,000 stipend and cover housing and travel costs.

If you're interested in hosting in your lab, please contact Ameé Hennig at or 520-621-8253 no later than Friday, April 15.
