EASIS Optical Engineering Summer Camp

    The Center for Integrated Access Network (CIAN) is holding their annual Expect Academic Success in STEM (EASIS) Optical Engineering Summer Camp next month. In partnership with the Winslow Unified School District, the camp will be held June 13-17, offering 8-12 grade students the chance to learn more about optics and engineering through demonstrations, presentations by OSC graduate students and faculty, guided tours and a college preparation workshop. 

    There is a participation fee of $200 with scholarships available. Interested students are encouraged to submit their interest through the CIAN website. 

    Optical Sciences students and faculty volunteers are also needed. Opportunities to help include:

    • Setup/Breakdown
    • Meal times (Breakfasts and Lunches)
    • Demonstrations & Activities (lead an activity, help with an activity)
    • Tours (lab tours, building tour)
    • Help direct students to and from
    • Evening star party, bring a telescope or run a telescope
