How Are We Enabled by Optics?

Only a month remains in the first Enabled by Optics competition run by the Optical Society (OSA). Both students and companies are encouraged to get involved: the former by choosing a consumer product and explaining how optics makes it work, and the latter by explaining the impact their own optical product makes on the world.

So jump in! Make a short video to show how optics has shaped society or write a convincing case for your product's importance. In the best-case scenario, you'll earn "fame and fortune" ... and even in the worst, you'll still learn something.
