A number of OSC outreach events took place this July! These included events at Tucson Community Connections, the Children's Museum Tucson, and four SEA camps. A big thank you to the Emily Finan, Aishik Biswas, Dr. Ewan Wright, and Trin Riojas who helped at the Tucson Community Connections. And Hillary Mathis, Jen Garcia, and Amee Hennig who helped with the Children's Museum Tucson. At Tucson Community Connections the students enjoyed a demo of the IR camera, light sources, polariscope and lasers. Anamorphic art, color mixing, and Einstein's hollow face were also featured! At the Children's Museum Tucson similar activties took place and over 75 kaleidoscopes were handmade by visitors to the museum! In addition to these events, Mike Nofziger and Hillary Mathis oversaw and ran three Summer Engineering Academy (SEA) camps and Hillary Mathis and Emily Finan ran an additional SEA camp, based out of the College of Engineering. Great job everyone! If you'd like to get involved in outreach events, keep an eye out for calls for volunteers!
