OSC faculty and staff have a few excellent opportunities for help staying hale and hearty this fall semester.

On Tuesday, Oct. 14, flu shots will be available from 9 a.m. to noon outside the Meinel Building, at the corner of University and Cherry. They're free for benefits-eligible employees and $30 for those not benefits-eligible, and you'll need to bring a consent form (PDF). Then, on Thursday, Nov. 13, Life & Work Connections is offering free health screenings from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Franken Conference Room (Meinel 821). You'll need an appointment for that – please stop by Meinel 406A to sign up.

Until then, find a few chances to soothe your soul out at Reid Park: For the next two Sundays, the Tucson Pops Orchestra will play "Music Under the Stars" at 7 p.m. at the DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center. The Sept. 14 concert features orchestral favorites like Debussy's "Clair de Lune," and the Sept. 21 concert is headlined by UA alumnus and banjoist Rob Wright. Contact Jen Garcia, a Tucson Pops board member, if you have questions about the shows.
