The college's new graduate academic and career adviser, Justin Parker, will be coming aboard in just a couple short weeks.

His name is already familiar to many students; he's been at the UA Graduate College for the last four years and served as OSC's contact there. As Associate Dean for Academic Programs R. John Koshel attests, "It is easy to say that Justin has the experience and know-how to step in and immediately assist the OSC graduate students."

More about Justin: He's originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and did undergraduate work in Minnesota. Active-duty Air Force service brought him to Davis-Monthan, and Tucson, seven years ago. His graduate studies have been here at UA, and he's an avid supporter of veterans' issues on campus. Justin also calls himself "a long-suffering fan" of the Buffalo Bills. ("Yes," he says, "I know they lost four straight Super Bowls.") He enjoys camping, most sports, and spending time with his wife, friends and dog, Shadow.

Justin's first day is Monday, Aug. 11. You'll be able to find him in Meinel 403B.
