OSC Partnering with Uber on Research

    Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, UA President Ann Weaver Hart and Uber executive Brian McClendon gathered for a news conference in the Meinel building on Aug. 25 to announce an exciting new partnership between the UA and Uber.

    University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences Partners with Uber

    The partnership, which will focus on research and development in the optics space for mapping and safety, will make OSC and the UA home to Uber’s mapping test vehicles. In addition, Uber will donate $25,000 to OSC to help support the next generation of optical scientists, engineers and researchers.

    U.S. Representative Martha McSally, OSC Dean Thomas L. Koch and many others were in attendance for the announcement.
