EARDG Photonics, Inc., a new Tucson startup is incorporating holographic optical elements to improve the performance and user experience of augmented reality glasses. The product, resulting from many years of research lead by Wyant College of Optical Sciences professor, Nasser Peyghambarian, represents a leap forward in augmented reality display glasses. By incorporating 3D holographic video, the new technology will provide augmented reality wearable glasses that allow users to combine the real world around them and an augmented holographic video display with superior performance.

Dr. Peyghambarian is leading the company along with Dr. Lloyd LaComb. Both Drs. Peyghambarian and LaComb have active photonic research programs at the Wyant College and experienced industry leaders. Read more about this research, the company, and the professors involved here.
