Scholarships for Students of Renewable Energy
Date Posted:
Thursday, February 13, 2014 The UA Carson Scholars Program is accepting applications through Tuesday, Feb. 17, for its 2014-2015 awards. Dedicated to the vision of conservationist and author Rachel Carson, the Carson Scholarships support University of Arizona doctoral students who research renewable energy and want to communicate science to a general audience.
The one-year, nonrenewable $5,000 scholarships are open to first- and second-year UA Ph.D. students and graduating UA master's degree students applying to University doctoral programs. OSC Ph.D. students Blake Coughenour and Brian Wheelwright are both alumni of the program.
