Scintillating, Spectacular Laser Fun Day

    Saturday's Laser Fun Day held surprises for everyone — including its organizers, who saw an unprecedented number of optics enthusiasts trekking through the Meinel Building.

    Among the lessons learned by attendees:

    A hole bunch of lenses make fire.

    Fiber optics are how the internet transfers information.

    Lasers can bounce.

    Pickles can glow.

    And yes, the laser maze and treasure hunt were as popular as ever.
