Master's student Maryam Tanbal was among students awarded a UA Engineering diversity grant through the NSF Bridge to the Doctorate program. The goal of the program is to help increase diversity among domestic students who are planning to pursue doctorates in science, technology, engineering and math or STEM fields.

Maryam also received the 2016 Mary Jo Lake Memorial Fellowship in Optical Sciences on Sept. 23 as part of the OSC Schoarship Awards Ceremony. Congratulations!
