    Amee Hennig - Media Content Manager

    It is our pleasure to announce and welcome AmeƩ Hennig as Media Content Manager for the College of Optical Sciences. AmeƩ is currently an OSC employee with CIAN as Education & Outreach Director. On Nov. 27, 2017 she will assume the role of Webmaster and Editor-in-Chief for Watts Up! Newsletter.

    AmeƩ has a strong background in technical and creative writing, website and content management, experience with back-end program interface, including technical skills in Drupal and WordPress. She brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and creativity to the role of Manager and Editor-in-Chief of the college newsletter and website. Her persona is professional yet approachable, and her ingenuity is sure to advance the visibility of our college. Ms. Hennig received a M.S. in Professional Writing from Northern Arizona University and her B.S. in Physics and Creative Writing from the University of Arkansas

    In her capacity as Media Content Manager she will be responsible for maintaining an interactive, user-friendly, visually appealing website and print media that convey and support the academic, research and outreach mission of the college. She will work directly with faculty to increase focus on research activity within our specialty Core Groups and will design new web-based applications and interface with Academic Programs to generate content supporting student recruitment, Development & Alumni Relations outreach, and a highly functional interface for our students, community, industry partners and university. She is responsible for maintaining the website directories, including design and development of faculty, staff, student and alumni web profiles. She will take on the role of college photographer and is expected to incorporate interactive links, video vignettes and social media communication to the website, as well as develop marketing tools and public relations materials.  

    AmeƩ reports directly to Dean Thomas L. Koch.
