Welcome to the web home of the Opto-Mechanical Interest Group, based
in Tucson, Arizona.
Our objective is to promote interest and education in the growing field of opto-mechanics,
a vital yet often overlooked part of optical systems design; and to provide an opportunity
for engineers and technicians to meet, either in person or over
the internet, and exchange ideas, discuss design problems, and learn from each other.
Although the emphasis is on opto-mechanical engineering, people in all disciplines
of optics and mechanics are welcome.
If this web site seems a little lean on information so far, it's because we're still
just getting started as an organization. The construction of this site as an
information resource will be an ongoing process and your help is much appreciated.
