Optics is the study of how light and matter interact. This can be as simple as making a magnifying glass or as complex as making a spy satellite for outer space. The College of Optical Sciences is a worldwide leader in the field of optics with over 70 research faculity professors, we have research opportunities in fields from the next generation medical imaging to 3-D holographic displays to making 25 meter telescopes.
