As an engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

The Role

The Amazon Devices Optics Team is involved with the optical design of imaging and non-imaging systems and features for the Echo family products. Our interns will contribute towards investigation of exciting features for our customers in the domain of vitals monitoring, customer-device interaction and environmental sensing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master's or PhD degree in Optical Engineering or related field at time of application and will have at least one quarter/semester remaining returning to university in fall 2021 to complete degree program after completing internship
  • Experience in Optical Design, LightTools & illumination

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous internship or academic experience in Lens Design, Tissue Optics, Monte Carlo, ZEMAX, Augmented Reality or LED
