Job Description:

Airy Optics is looking for a full-time Optical Engineer to work on the Polaris-M polarization ray trace and analysis software.  The program is written utilizing Mathematica and contains advanced algorithms for polarization calculations and analysis. In addition to developing the Polaris-M raytracing software package, Airy Optics uses Polaris-M to tackle difficult engineering service questions. Applicants will need to be able to identify the problems presented by customers, formulate solutions into an SOW, and plan and execute polarization analysis on customer-provided optical systems.

Requirements:

  • Experience with optical design software
  • Experience with Mathematica
  • Experience with Java
  • Experience writing statements of work/project planning
  • Skills in linear algebra – special functions – Fourier Analysis –optimization
  • Optical Design skills
  • Ability to work independently
